I took a cab from the Ministry of Education to the airport yesterday. As I got in, my Peruvian cabbie looked at me, and with a strong accent, asked simply “European?”
I nodded my head in assent.
With no further questions, he stopped the Latin pop CD he had playing, put in one of Armin van Buuren’s trance mixes, and cranked up the volume.

When rolled around East Africa, I would always choose my matatus on the music they played. My favorite: a Sunday morning ride to Green Velvet’s Preacher Man.

Armin’s live sets are great. Clearly your cab driver had good taste in music.
